Hi, I’m Alison (she/her)! I founded In Good Company Nutrition to create a space where you feel genuinely cared for and respected in what your healing with food and your body looks like.

As a weight-inclusive Registered Dietitian, I specialize in working with clients 18yo+ navigating disordered eating and eating disorders. I also have a deep appreciation for supporting folks with ADHD and PCOS. As someone who lives with both, I understand firsthand how complex, frustrating, and personal nutrition support can be when your brain or body doesn’t fit into neat boxes.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Penn State University (We are!) and a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Simmons University, with a specialized concentration in eating disorders.

My approach is non-diet and collaborative. That means we don’t chase perfection, moralize food choices, or work from rigid plans. Instead, we focus on nourishment, consistency, and rebuilding trust with your body in a way that fits your real life.

I believe nutrition care should feel human. Curious. Grounded. And deeply respectful of the fact that food is shaped by far more than willpower.

My Philosophy

Food is rarely just about food. It’s shaped by stress, history, routines, access, culture, body image, health experiences, and the messages we’ve absorbed over time. When we ignore those pieces, nutrition advice can quickly become another source of pressure or shame.

My approach is non-diet and collaborative. That means we don’t rely on rigid rules, moral judgments, or one-size-fits-all plans. Instead, we focus on nourishment, consistency, and rebuilding trust with your body in a way that works within your real life.

What It’s Like to Work Together

Sessions are conversational and individualized. We’ll talk about what feels hard right now, what you’ve tried before, and what you want your relationship with food to feel like moving forward.

There’s no expectation to be “ready,” confident, or all-in. Ambivalence is welcome here. So is uncertainty. We move at your pace and adjust as your needs change.

You won’t be handed a rigid meal plan or told what you “should” be eating. You will be met with curiosity, respect, and steady support.

Who I Work With

I work with adults who want nutrition support that feels steady, respectful, and realistic.

Some people come in without any diagnosis at all. Others arrive with a long list of them. Many are somewhere in between. All are welcome here.

  • Feel overwhelmed or anxious around food

  • Are burned out by dieting or nutrition rules

  • Struggle with body image or body trust

  • Want nutrition support that feels gentler and more sustainable

  • Are looking for care that doesn’t center weight or perfection

I often work with people who

  • Neurodivergence, including ADHD, where structure, sensory needs, and flexibility matter

  • LGBTQIA+ identities and the ways food and body image intersect with identity, safety, and care

  • IBS and other digestive challenges

  • PCOS and hormone-related concerns

I also regularly support people navigating
