Nutrition Counseling Rates & Insurance
I believe you should know what to expect before starting care. Below you’ll find my current session options, information about Aetna insurance coverage, self-pay rates, and answers to common questions about payment.
In Good Company Nutrition is now in-network with Aetna. Coverage and out-of-pocket costs vary by individual plan, so I recommend verifying your nutrition benefits before your first appointment.
Free 15-Minute Consultation
During this call, we can talk about:
what brought you here
what you’re hoping to get support with
how nutrition counseling works
session options and frequency
rates, payment, and superbills
next steps if you decide you’d like to work together
This call is not a full nutrition counseling session, and I won’t provide individualized medical nutrition advice during the consultation.
A free consultation is a low-pressure place to start. This call gives us a chance to briefly talk through what’s been feeling hard with food, what kind of support you’re looking for, and whether nutrition counseling with In Good Company Nutrition feels like the right fit.
Aetna Insurance
In Good Company Nutrition is in-network with Aetna.
Your coverage and out-of-pocket cost will depend on your individual insurance plan. Depending on your benefits, you may have a copay, coinsurance, deductible, or coverage for nutrition counseling at no additional cost.
Because every plan is different, I recommend checking your nutrition benefits directly with Aetna before your first appointment.
I’ve created a Check Your Benefits Guide with questions you can ask when you call your insurance company, including how to ask about nutrition counseling coverage, deductibles, visit limits, and estimated costs.
Self-Pay Rates
If you don’t have Aetna, prefer not to use insurance, or your plan doesn’t cover nutrition counseling, self-pay is also available. My rates reflect the time, training, collaboration, and behind-the-scenes care that go into supporting you thoughtfully and ethically.
Typical frequency for nutrition counseling is weekly, biweekly, or monthly. This is flexible and decided together based on your needs, goals, and capacity. There is no required number of sessions.
Payment plans are available, and HSA/FSA cards are accepted. If you cannot afford the session fees and are seeking eating disorder care, please reach out.

$ 195
This first session is a deep dive. We’ll talk about your relationship with food, your health history, what’s felt hard, and what support could actually feel helpful right now.
This session may include:
A full nutrition and health intake
Exploration of eating patterns, stress, and symptoms
Clarifying your goals (even if they feel messy or unclear)
Gentle next steps that meet you where you are
-
$ 130
Follow-up sessions are where the work unfolds. We build consistency, reflect on what’s coming up, and adjust support as your needs change.
Sessions may include:
Ongoing nutrition support and education
Support with eating disorder recovery or disordered eating patterns
ADHD-informed strategies for nourishment and structure
PCOS-related nutrition support
Body image and food relationship work
Problem-solving real-life challenges as they arise
Frequency is flexible and based on your needs. Some people meet weekly, biweekly, or monthly.

$65
Check-in sessions are shorter follow-up appointments used for brief support between or after longer nutrition sessions.
These sessions are only available after an initial nutrition session and must be agreed upon together. They are not meant to replace full follow-up sessions, but may be a good fit when we both feel that a shorter touchpoint is enough for the kind of support you need.
Check-in sessions may include:
Brief follow-up on goals or next steps
Support with a specific question or challenge
Troubleshooting something that came up between sessions
Reviewing what’s been working and what may need adjusting
A shorter accountability or support touchpoint
Because these sessions are brief, they are best suited for focused check-ins rather than deeper nutrition counseling, eating disorder recovery work, or more involved problem-solving.
What to Expect
More than time spent together
Nutrition counseling is a collaborative process. Each session is shaped around your goals, your needs, and what feels realistic in your life right now.
Personalized support
One-on-one care with a registered dietitian that considers your relationship with food, body image, health concerns, stress, executive functioning, and daily life.
Space to reflect and adjust
We’ll revisit what’s working, explore what feels difficult, and make changes without pressure, shame, or rigid expectations.
Support between sessions
Your care may also include personalized resources, follow-up notes, practical tools, or reflections to help you carry the work into everyday life.
All care is grounded in a weight-inclusive, non-diet approach that prioritizes nourishment, consistency, flexibility, and trust.
Have Insurance Other Than Aetna?
At this time, In Good Company Nutrition is in-network with Aetna and does not bill other insurance plans directly.
If you have another insurance provider, I can provide a superbill upon request that you may submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Reimbursement varies widely by plan and may depend on factors such as your out-of-network benefits, deductible, diagnosis, and whether nutrition counseling is a covered service.
For more guidance, you can review my Superbill Guide, which walks through how to submit a superbill and includes helpful questions to ask your insurance provider.
You’re in good company.
You don’t have to keep trying to solve your relationship with food alone. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation to talk through what’s been feeling hard with food and see whether nutrition counseling feels like a good fit.
